Our Charity

Each year, Windycon chooses a charity to support. This year, we've selected Marshmallow's Hope , a suicide-prevention nonprofit based in Rockford, IL.

Marshmallow's Hope was founded by Laura Kane after the she lost her 14 year old son, Zachary, to suicide in 2018. She hoped to prevent another child and family from going through the same pain.

Marshmallow was a childhood nickname for Zachary. HOPE is an acronym that stands for Hold On, Pain Ends.
